IEA releases free iPhone and iPad app for 2012 Key World Energy Statistics

eid2grey-02The International Energy Agency (IEA) has announced the release of an updated iPhone and iPad app version of its publication “2012 Key World Energy Statistics,” which includes data on supply, transformation and consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions of all major energy sources.

The customisable 2013 app is designed to enable users to access multiple indicators and also rank countries according to relevant criteria, and the 2013 update includes a search feature. Key World Energy Statistics from the IEA was first published as a booklet in 1997. The first app was released in 2011. The 2013 version, which also works on an iPod Touch device, has been updated following feedback from users.

EiD is already using it and is quite pleased how well it works.
