Upcoming webinar June 21st not to miss – Strategic Debrief: Six financial-policy levers to decarbonise Europe’s buildings

Experts will discuss the urgent financial-policy measures which can decarbonise EU buildings in line with the Renovation Wave strategy.

The session will be opened with some framing words from the Laudes Foundation on its overall work and how their funding of this project fits within that content. Then Peter Sweatman, Chief Executive of Climate Strategy, will present an overview of the six financial-policy levers identified by Climate Strategy together with over 20 contributing experts over the first half of 2021. Following this presentation, expert discussants from private investor DWS, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and Aquila Capital’s newly listed energy efficiency fund will take the floor to give their perspectives and reactions to the six strategies.

This session is designed to better inform those working in financial institutions and in the buildings-finance space across Europe, however we welcome participation from across the world. We believe that these 90 minutes will significantly enhance understanding of what is really necessary to find Euro 2.75 trillion of investments in Europe for 35+ million buildings by 2030, and decarbonise all new build.

You can register for the event here.

  1. This appears to be a rather interesting event. Sadly it will occur at a time when I am unable to attend. Will the organisers be making its’ proceedings available later?

    1. I will ask Peter if it will be made available later. I think there is a good chance it will be.

      1. That is very kind of you, and yet another reason why In Demand is such a wonderful initiative !
