Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes (EEIP), a Brussels-based independent not-for-profit platform for business and policy in Europe, is organising a roundtable to discuss financing issues related to investing in energy efficiency in the industrial sector on April 24th at the world famous Hannover Messe, which is billed as the world’s most important technology event. The EEIP Energy Efficiency Roundtable is a free event aiming to substantiate discussion on energy efficiency and financing. Panellists will include experts from Siemens Financial Services, the European Parliament, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the European Commission and representatives from the financial sector and industry (including from China – which is the Hannover Fair 2012 partnering country). The roundtable will be chaired by Rod Janssen, editor of EiD and a well-known energy efficiency expert in Europe.
The audience will include representatives from European businesses, private and public financial professionals, media and government agencies. Participants to the previous EEIP roundtable (Nov 2011) included: Siemens, Confederation of Danish Industries, Dalkia, Danfoss, Johnson Controls, EnergiMidt, European Commission, European Parliament, Danish Permanent Representation, European Investment Bank (EIB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), SUSI Partners, KfW, Danish Export Credit Agency (EKF), Commerzbank, Hudson Clean Energy, Thomas Industrial Media and DENEFF. The event will be followed by the launch of the magazine, Energy Efficiency: Business & Industry, a collaborative effort of Thomas Industrial Media and EEIP.
