  1. I suspect the headline grossly overstates the actual impact more sophisticated technology might make. The effect might possibly be to reduce significantly the fuel wastage incurred by unnecessarily heavy braking at traffic lights.
    But to claim that this alone , as the headline and opening sentence state, can cut motor transport emissions by 25% is most improbable, and certainly entirely unproven
