I’m not keen on the “This Week’s Posts” widget. It seems crowded and small font size. Plus I would rather the home page showed just the most recent rather than all posts.
An alternative would be to have a home page that lists the most recent posts. I’ve come up with a couple of options:
Option 1 would be the current home page.
Option 2 just the titles of the most recent post (“This Weeks Posts”)
Option 3 the most recent posts including a brief intro with each post.
At the bottom of the new home page that shows just the most recent, would be a link to a page will a list of all post (like the current home page).
