The latest CA EED Impact Report has been released, covering March 2022 to May 2025, outlines the achievements of the EU-wide initiative supporting the Energy Efficiency Directive. It is the first in a series of two reports that will explore the impacts of this current, third iteration of the CA EED (2022-2026). This report covers the period from May 2022 through to March 2025. Two previous reports have detailed the impacts of the second CA EED that ran from 2017 to 2022.
The Concerted Action on the EED (CA EED) supports EU Member States and Norway in the transposition and implementation of the EED. The Concerted Action was launched in order to provide a trusted forum where Member State representatives entrusted with the implementation of the EED can learn from each other, avoid pitfalls and build on the successful approaches of others when implementing the Energy Efficiency Directive into their national legislation.
Featuring activities spanning six Plenary Meetings, expert collaborations, and thought-provoking study visits, the report highlights how the CA EED fosters knowledge exchange and promotes better policy implementation. With high satisfaction and engagement rates, CA EED continues to empower Member States in achieving energy efficiency goals.
With over 95% of participants reporting increased knowledge and valuable interactions, CA EED continues to be a vital platform for sharing best practices across Member States and driving progress. As the recast Directive’s transposition deadline approaches, CA EED remains committed to supporting national authorities in meeting ambitious energy efficiency targets.
