There are two important events coming soon. If you attend, please let us know your experience.
* Australia’s 2024 Energy Efficiency National Conference
On 15-16 May, the Energy Efficiency Council’s EEC National Conference will bring Australian and international experts together with policy makers, industry, NGOs and consumer groups to share ideas \ crucial for boosting action on the demand side of the energy transition.
And for the very first time, in 2024 the Conference will be paired with the inaugural Industrial Decarbonisation Summit.
Headlining both events will be Amory Lovins. Dubbed the “Einstein of energy efficiency” and named one of the world’s most influential people by Time, Lovins’ ideas on energy security, efficiency, and renewables have changed global policy and thinking around energy for almost 50 years.
With ambitious net zero targets across all levels of government and Australian industry, Amory will provide crucial insight into the role of the demand side in delivering a cost-effective energy transition and achieving our renewable energy targets.
2024 is a critical year, and there’s never been a better time to get to grips with the challenges and opportunities of energy management in Australia’s future.
Registration is open now at: eec.org.au/conference
* eceee 2024 Summer Study on energy efficiency, June 10–15
The 2024 Summer Study will take a broad look at how demand reduction is linked to sustainability and security so we can shape a safe and stable future. Panels ranging from consumption, demand, policies and evaluation, to sustainable communities, buildings and appliances, transport & mobility, and industry.
Those who have been to a Summer Study before will recognise the panels (see all nine panels). The re-introduction of an industry panel in 2022 was a great success and eceee will continue on this path.
eceee has picked a new venue: Center Parcs Lac d’Ailette, in Haute-de-France. More on the venue and travel is available here.
