  1. This article is somehow speculative. The solution is to burn wood in the micro/mini CHP powered centralised district heatin systems (always 1000 stoves pollutes more than 1 ”big stove” of CHP (needless to say that such facility has state of the art EP (electrofilters addressing exactly the particles which is the subject ot the article. Also, usually, the CHP is located, definitely, not in the central ”place” of the city and pietonal streets
    If biomass is not good, hydroenergy is also not good, then what it is left for cheap energy for heating ?

  2. I agree with Catalin. Two key issues seem to have been omitted from this article: firstly how the wood is treated , particularly to dry it, prior to being inserted into the relevant” stove”, and then just how effective and efficient that stove is.
    Effectively, the difference between chalk and cheese!
