  1. A government spokesperson said: “We are committed to achieving our net zero goals and are spending £12.6bn this decade to cut national energy consumption by 15%.”

    On that basis, investing just over £1m a year is going to deliver a consumption cut of 15%?

    As the old song goes, “That don’t impress me much!”
