Let’s talk about renovation strategies

The Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE), the state of Baden-Württemberg and the German Institute for Energy and Environment (IFEU) are organising an event dedicated to renovation strategies on May 16th

While the deadline for European member states to present their national renovation strategy to the Commission has just past on April 30, this event will present case studies of innovative approaches to renovating building stocks. The renovation strategies are required under the Energy Efficiency Directive.

The Southern German State of Baden-Württemberg and IFEU will present a model to building specific renovation plans, and speakers from the Czech Republic, France and the Brussels Region will talk about their respective approaches. The workshop hopefully will give inspiration for the challenging exercise many European Member states are still struggling with, as they missed the submission date.   Hopefully member states are more diligent than they were in reporting their strategies for implementing nearly zero energy buildings.
