This is the number of followers that the Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes (EEIP), a not-for-profit organisation based in Brussels, has in its “energy efficiency community.” EEIP is only two years old but it has steadily built a strong and loyal following. Launched at the European Commission in April 2011, EEIP is the first B2PTM (‘business to policy’) organisation. Set up as a not-for-profit organisation to facilitate open and inclusive dialogue between industry and EU policy-makers, EEIP is financed by its supporting partners, marketing services within the biggest industrial energy efficiency network in Europe, and projects.
Juergen Ritzek, Business Director, and Dusan Jakovljevic, Policy Director, are to be congratulated for their tireless work in building such a following in such a short period of time.
EiD was fortunate enough to co-sponsor an event with EEIP at last June’s Sustainable Energy Week.
Recently, EEIP launched EnergyPages, an international business energy efficiency directory, as well as HeatRecovery+, a self assessment tool that is available for either IPhone or Android phones.
