Quote of the week

Now that the Energy Efficiency Directive has been agreed upon by the European Council, Parliament and Commission, the focus switches to implementation.  It is a moment to reflect on what the Nobel Prize winning behavioural economist, Daniel Kahneman said in his recent book, Thinking, Fast and Slow:

“. . . policy is ultimately about people, what they want and what is best for them.  Every policy question involves assumptions about human nature, in particular about the choices that people make and the consequences of their choices for themselves and for society.”

Let’s not forget the human dimension as the recently approved policies recently approved are put into action.
